Why is A Personal Brand important?
Simply put; the interwebs. People have a choice like never before. Gone are the days of using your car insurance company because they sent you a renewal quote and you can’t be bothered to pick up your phone (the one that is connected to a cable on the wall), and call 15+ insurance companies to get a better price. Not that you’re an insurance company, but I’m sure that analogy made sense (can you tell I just renewed my car insurance?!).
Choice, connection and relationships. That is what we value as consumers, probably what we’ve always valued, but 30 years ago it didn’t matter too much because we didn’t have access to so many companies, businesses and providers. If your Instagram or Facebook is overflowing, you have a great following that adores you and you’re ready for the next level, you need to get your face out there and build your personal brand.
I get it, I hate being on the other side of the camera. I just discovered my most favourite wine in the whole wide world and it’s expensive, both in £ and in lbs! So yeah, not my favourite place to be right now.
However, if I want to be the best at what I do, then my ideal client wants to see me, see me working, chilling and laughing (I do a lot of all 3). Then we’ll know we’re a good fit. In the spirit of taking the plunge, I’ll post a few BTS shots of a recent shoot I did with my daughter (affectionately known as Thing 1). I’ll pop a link up when I do! When you’re ready to move it up a level, give me a shout. Nic Knott Pix has a Facebook Group with no selling, just ideas, tips and general information about taking this next step. Join me now (in a non-zombie-like way) as I influence this industry and help you along your way.
